Fun Facts about cats

Having a pet surely is fun, aside from that, it knowledge and responsibility over another living thing, and that is something you must be proud of once you can say that you managed to take care of a pet successfully.
Well, one of the most taken cared of animals as pets are cats. Those tiny creatures ranging from those cuddly ones up to those with no hair are surely pets to be adored by the ones who are taking care of them. We also have many cats in our house and we take care of them responsibly. We prepare food for them, we talk to them like their one of us and we do things to them as we do to people we love; we hug and kiss them.
Taking care of pets is important and what they can give to you is fun and knowledge about them. Well, there are some interesting facts about cats that I’ve recently got my hands on.
If you observe the cats, they don’t sweat unlike us! Well, that’s a given because they don’t have sweat glands. Pretty neat, right? Also, despite its size, cats can also jump seven times its height. I wonder how that feels jumping seven times your own height, well, if we jump like that, and then we can live even if we jump from six floors up a building.
You may also want to check their toes! They only have four toes at their back paws while five toes at their front paws. They also possess ten times the vocal cord of a dog. A dog having only ten while they have a hundred! If you run with a cat, you will also never be able to reach them as they can run up to 12 miles per hour and sprint up to nearly 30 miles per hour. Well, too bad you can’t race and win with them.
And also, don’t you get curious as to how they fit to small spaces? Well, that’s because they have 230 bones unlike humans with 206 bones only, with their pelvis and shoulders loosely attached to their spine that contributes to their amazing flexibility. And in intelligence, cats defeat the dogs and even monkeys. A cat has a memory that last 16 hours while dogs can only retain memory up to 5 minutes.
Knowing your pet is surely a great thing. Fun facts not only ease those curiosities of yours, but it also adds to the knowledge you possess. It does not only entertain you but it also gives you a better sense of responsibility.
